The most common rodent in the Calgary area is the house mouse. They can breed rapidly and are great at adapting to their surroundings. They make burrows for homes but as temperatures drop in the fall, they aggressively seek shelter indoors. They are often found in homes, restaurants, business and warehouses. Even without an open entry way, they are able to fit through small crevices and cracks.

Mice can carry and transmit rare diseases as well as ticks, fleas and lice. They can destroy food supplies and are a menace to indoor wiring as well.
